The CDFW stocked trout here last week and anglers have been lining the shores. The bite has been steady here with anglers scoring trout with Garlic scented Powerbait, Trout jigs, mousetails and pinched crawlers. The bass bite has been fair to good with the best action coming in the later part of the day. Bass have been coming on crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs and shad imitation plastics on drop shot. Bluegill have been showing at both lakes with wax and red worms. The BKO Fishing Derby is scheduled here on February 8, 2025. Both lakes will be stocked with over a thousand pounds of trout to 5lbs and 25 tagged fish worth up to $1000. For more information and tickets visit Copes Tackle and Rod.
