Castaic Lake held near 77 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures stayed in the mid to low fifties. The bass bite has been tough with the high wind days. Anglers have been fooling bass with dart heads with 4 ½” Hologram Shad Roboworms, salt n pepper Yamamoto 3” grubs, also dropshotting 4 ½” Oxblood red/flake. The best bite here has been in the Ski arm in 10 to 20-feet and off main lake points. There is also some spoon fish in deeper coves that have been showing. Striper fell for trolled umbrella rigs and flies. Catfish anglers used live worms and cut sardines in deeper coves around the lake.
