The lake held at 85 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures were in the low fifties. Large and smallmouth bass took drop shot, Ned rigs, Senkos, and jigs on secondary points and along bluff walls. A slow presentation was the most successful. Crankbaits fooled larger bass in the areas with rip rap and rocky structure. Catfish anglers got bites using sardines, anchovies, and dip bait in the marina. The best bet for striper has been cut baits early in the day, but vertical spoons and ice jigs took fish as well. Sardines and anchovies were the go-to baits, but fish also ate bloodworms and nightcrawlers.
