The lake is very low and holding at 13 percent of capacity. Isabella has transitioned into its summer pattern and the bass action has been solid with quality fish just shy of 10 pounds reported. Our contacts reported solid bass action in 5 to 15 feet of water on buzzbaits, crankbaits, topwater, big worms and jigs. The crappie bite is steady with the best action coming from offshore structure. Anglers connecting with the slabs are putting in the time searching for the right structure holding fish. Earlier this week one of our contacts limited out with Get Bent Baits and live shiners from a kayak. Trout are being reported from shore with Garlic scented Powerbait, spinners, and minijigs. Boat anglers have had the best action trolling various needlefish, Tasmanian Devils, and flicker shad. The Annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is running from now until July 4th. There are 500 tagged trout worth $20 - $5000. The catfish bite improved this week with good numbers coming on Dip Baits, nightcrawlers and cut baits.
