The bass bite has been good at Ming Lake. Our sources reported good action with 5 and 6-inch Senkos in various colors like green pumpkin. Rattle traps, small jerkbaits and flukes have been scoring bass. A few bigger bass were reported this week. Big soft plastic swimbaits in 5 to 7-inch size are scoring larger fish. Bluegill can be caught on wax worms, meal worms and red worms. Carp can be found on dough baits and small catfish can be caught with dip baits and mackerel. Still no trout plants scheduled for Ming, but that could change at any time.
