The Bakersfield Firefighters 11th annual trout derby and pancake breakfast will be held tomorrow, November 23, 2024. There will be 1500 pounds stocked with lightening and Rainbow trout to 5 pounds split between both lakes. There will be tagged trout in both lakes and the lowest tagged trout caught during the event will be a $1000 prize. The bass bite has been steady. Bass have been coming on crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs and shad imitation plastics on drop shot. Bluegill have been showing at both lakes with wax and red worms.
