The lake remained at full pool and water temperatures have been trending down into the mid to low seventies. The thick weed beds are showing signs of dying off which could push bass onto points and bluff walls. Anglers still found topwater fish over thick grass matts and weedless options took fish in those same areas. The bite in the 20 to 30 zone has been improving for anglers using finesse techniques. The striper bite showed signs of life for anglers trolling umbrella rigs and streamer flies in shad patterns. Catfishing was reliable at the inlet and near Yellowbar.
