Crappie at Lake Evans are schooled up in deeper water on the East sides of all the islands. Crappie were coming on 3.8 Keitechs and mag flukes. There were fewer reports from BV last week, but it seemed as if diminished boat traffic and cooler weather brought bass out of thick cover. Anglers reported hooking up with crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the riprap and along weed lines. Senkos and finesse baits took fish as well. Pan sized catfish slurped up SSS dip bait and chicken liver on the long soak, and panfish ate live worms and small live worms under a bobber.
