The bass action improved this week with the cooler weather. Anglers have been scoring fish early and later in the day on Giro flukes, small creature baits and ned rigs bomb casting the heavier heads near grass. Green pumpkin worms in 4 to 5-inch and strike king rage bugs have been scoring fish. There’s an excellent bluegill bite early and late on wax worms, meal worms and red worms. Crappie are getting more active later in the day with 2” Keitechs and live shiners. The carp are showing more frequently and can be found on dough baits. Catfish can be taken on dip baits and cut bait.
