The aqueduct has been kicking out good numbers of fish for several months, and last week was no exception. Striped bass ate cut baits, lug worms, and lures at a decent clip. Most anglers reported the best fishing after check gates, and if there were no biting fish at one gate they moved on to the next until they found feeding fish. For anglers who prefered to fool fish with artificial baits, jerkbaits, topwater lures, and Flukes on a jig head did the trick. Catfish ate chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits, and bass anglers used drop shot and topwater to pull in a few largemouth.
