Isabella fell to 73 percent of capacity this week. Epic trout fishing continues from the North Fork and around the dam. Trout to five pounds were reported with spinners, trout jigs, floating baits, and spoons. The Bass action has been improving here for quality over quantity. Bass were found in 8 to 12-feet of water at Engineers Point and Pine Point on deep diving crankbaits, Texas rigged ribbon tails in purple or motor oil black. The North Fork side of Rocky Point has been producing a few fish with big crankbaits in shad or bluegill color. Crappie continue to be steady in 15 to 20-feet of water near Reds marina and the South Fork. Our Contacts scored stringers this week with crappie jigs, live shiners, and underspins. The Catfish bite really improved with stringers of whiskerfish coming on dip baits, mackerel, and chicken liver.
