This week Isabella Lake rose to 90 percent of capacity, or 515,571 acre-feet. Isabella has been producing quality bass and we have confirmed reports of three largemouth caught in the past two weeks over 10 pounds. Our contacts reported decent action, but they moved around and covered a large body of water. Bass have been coming in 5 to 15-feet of water on Texas rigs, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Senkos. Crappie fishing has been good out in deeper offshore structure. Our contacts reported steady action in 15 to 25-feet of water near structure with live minnows or crappie jigs. Boaters have had success trolling flicker shad. The whiskerfish action has been excellent with Dip Baits and cut mackerel. The trout fishing continues to be excellent from shore and boat. We had reports of trout limits coming from Red’s marina, Camp 9 and the cemetery with garlic scented Powerbait, trout jigs and spinnerbaits. Boaters trolling leadcore have done very well with needlefish, Tasmanian Devils, and flicker shad. One of our contacts reported catching a mix bag of both Crappie and trout trolling flicker shad earlier this week.
