Colder weather is upon us, and the reports of massive striper have finally begun to slow down. Striper anglers still reported good fishing on both bait and artificials. Bait anglers soaked cut sardines, jumbo live minnows, and chicken liver after check gates for frequent limits. Lure anglers threw jerkbaits, Gitzits, Flukes, and swimbaits where moving water met calm. Catfish took chicken liver, cut baits, and dip bait near outtake grates, bridge pylons, and in calmer water. Bass anglers reported bites while using ball head jigs and various soft plastics in slower moving water.
