The lake held at 7 percent of capacity this week. The lake level is low, and the bass action has been decent with better models making a showing. Alabama rigs, jigs, swimbaits, and spinnerbaits have all been scoring fish. Our contacts reported steady action on Thursday at Engineers Point and French Gulch area in 10 to 20-feet of water. There continues to be a solid catfish bite going on right now at Isabella. We had reports of anglers getting limits of whiskerfish to 10 pounds on Dip Baits, mackerel, and shrimp. The Crappie bite has slowed a bit, but slabs can still be found around submerged trees and structure on live minnows or minijigs. Trout can be taken with Powerbait and spinners from shore and boat anglers are trolling around the Dam using lead core line with needlefish or Tasmanian devils.
