Stripers have been biting more on cut bait and worms over this past week and some various types of flukes fishing above the grassline and on deeper drop offs around the lake. Lugworms, Anchovies, and cut mackerel have been working well down deep throughout the day using a heavier sinker to endure the winds and currents. Catfish have been very active both from the shoreline and deep within coves on Chicken Liver, Sardines, and Nightcrawlers. The canal by the entrance booth and the shoreline just past the swimbeach have been very productive for bait fishing along with YellowBar and Bear Trap. Bass have been biting soft plastics such as Senkos, Flukes and roboworms along the grasslines around the lake and smaller sized swimbaits such as S-wavers and other Paddle tail style swimbaits.
