Fishing was fair at Buena Vista with crappie and bass being the best bets. Crappie anglers did well on minijigs and small live shiners, and the key to getting bite has been to find submerged structure. Bass went for Texas rigged six-inch plastic worms, Senkos, and jigs. Anglers fished the weed lines and islands for bites. A few fish were also reported by anglers throwing white spinnerbaits. Catfish ate dip bait, cut sardines, and chicken liver with a ten-pounder reported by an angler using a combination of anchovies and dip bait.
