Fishing was fair at BV with both lakes producing bass, catfish, and crappie. Crappie have been the best bet lately with anglers using minijigs under a bobber for bites. Crappie also went for small minnows and live worms. Bass anglers reported fair fishing on finesse baits, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Texas rigs and drop shot got most of the attention, but the bass fell for reaction baits near the cattails as well. Catfish anglers used anchovies, sardines, and chicken liver to fool fish.
