Striper up to 20 pounds were reported in the northern sections of the aqueduct last week. Local anglers used jumbo live shiners, bloodworms, and cut baits to fool numerous fish up to ten pounds. Lure anglers threw topwater, A-rigs, Flukes, and jerkbaits for solid numbers of jailbirds. Bass fishing has been excellent, and anglers fooled fish with drop shot, Senkos, jigs, and topwater lures. The bass bite best in slower moving water and near out-take grates. Catfish anglers did well on dip bait, cut baits, nightcrawlers, and chicken liver.
