The Department of Fish and Game will be planting approximately 2,800 pounds of fingerling Brown Trout into Diamond Valley Lake on Thursday October 18, 2007. According to the Department the total fish count will be approximately 20,000 fish. This planting will continue to establish Brown Trout as a game fish at Diamond Valley Lake. Lake Elevation: 1728.88 and dropping Surface water temp: 69 - 74 degrees Fish Plants: Rainbow trout, 2,400 pounds May 17th. No catfish plants were scheduled for this summer.
