Surface Water Temp: 56.9 degrees
Fish Plants: Scheduled trout plant is February 18th,1000 pounds. Department of Fish and Wildlife will be stocking the week of the 9th.
Lake Hours: 6:15am-4:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the low 50's to low 80's.
BASS
Anglers are catching bass in the 25-50 ft range. They're bringing in smaller bass between 2-3 pounds. There were reports of some big momma's between 10-14 pounds coming up shallow. Dropshotting creature baits works best for catching bass. Shad like lures also work great.
STRIPER
The striper bite picked up this week! Anglers are catching striper between 5-10 pounds! The best time to fish for striper is the week of a trout stock. Trolling Swim baits in the morning work best. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it's best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils.
CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish this week. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish.
PANFISH
Anglers are catching few panfish a pound and under. Night crawlers and mealworms work best.
TROUT Anglers are catching many trout between 4-9pounds! Powerbait, kasmasters and mini jigs work best for trout. Mike Morton and daughter Haley Morton (age 11) of Hemet caught two nice trout using mini jigs off shoreline. Their trout weighed 6.71 pounds and 8.6 pounds!
