Surface Water Temp.: 58.9 degrees
Fish Plants: Scheduled trout plant is January 28th, 1000 pounds.
Lake Hours: 06:15AM - 04:30PM
Weather: The forecasts show temperatures in the high 40's to low 70's.

BASS
Bass are up shallow between 10-15 feet! Anglers are catching smaller bass between 2-3 pounds. Dropshotting creature baits works best for catching bass. Shad like lures also work great.
STRIPER
Anglers are catching striper between 5-8 pounds! The best time to fish for striper is the day of a trout stock, and the day after. Trolling Swim baits in the morning work best for striper. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it's best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils. Mike Southerland, and George Miller of Hemet caught eight striper trolling with Mikes flies near the east dam. The total weight was 48 pounds.
CATFISH
There were a few reports of catfish between 4-5 pounds caught this week. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish.
Panfish
The panfish bite slowed down. Anglers are catching few panfish a pound and under. Night crawlers and mealworms work best.
TROUT
Anglers are catching many trout between 4-6pounds! Powerbait, kasmasters and mini jigs work best for trout. Nick Hoffarth (age 11) of San Jacinto caught some trout off shoreline using Powerbait.The total weight of his trout was 4.11 pounds!
