Surface Water Temp: 54.5 degrees
Fish Plants: Scheduled trout plant is February 11th,500 pounds
Lake Hours: 6:15am-4:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the high 30's to high 50's.
BASS
Anglers are catching bass in the 25-50 ft range. They're bringing in smaller bass between 2-3 pounds. Dropshotting creature baits works best for catching bass. Shad like lures also work great.
STRIPER
Anglers are catching striper between 5-25 pounds! The best time to fish for striper is the week of a trout stock. Trolling Swim baits in the morning work best. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it's best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils.
CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish this week. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish.
PANFISH
Anglers are catching few panfish a pound and under. Night crawlers and mealworms work best.
TROUT
Anglers are catching many trout between 4-6pounds! Powerbait, kasmasters and mini jigs work best for trout. Scott Stigar of Morongo Valley caught a nice 7.12 pound trout off shoreline!
