Corona Lake continues to crank out big limits of catfish & tilapia. Fishermen deciding to target catfish, seem to be more productive in the evening sessions. Santiago Palacios, pictured of West Covina landed 17 fish, a combination of both catfish & tialpia. Santiago Palacias brought in a 45 pound stringer, with his largest catfish weighing 5 1/2 pounds using shrimp & mackerel from a boat in the middle of the lake. Joe Guerrero of Corona caught and released a 18 pound 4 ounce catfish using shimp soaked in Eagle Claw gravy at the Dam. Steve Fry of Riverside caught his overnight limit of 10 catfish totaling 26 pounds using a mealworm/marshmallow combo camping at J.D.'s point. Frank Rhemrev of Anza, CA caught 6 catfish totaling 20 pounds using nightcrawlers by the Dam. Jose & Issac Negrete of Thousand Lakes caught 8 fish, both catfish & tilapia totaling 15 pounds using nightcrawlers from a boat.

Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and has 24 hour overnight fishing/camping sessions every weekend during the summer.
