Fish Plants: No scheduled plants this week

Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the low 30's to high 70's this week.
Striper derby February 25-March 3rd! Biggest striper for that week at DVL gets $200. Only $5 entry fee! Come on down!

BASS
Bass are coming up! Anglers are fishing with senko's and pink colored plastic worms in Rawson Cove, the 3rd cove of shoreline area and the cove around floating restroom #2.
STRIPER
Stripers are being caught this week. Mike Southerland, pictured above from Hemet caught a giant 25.10 pounder trolling on flies by the East Dam. Swimbaits, anchovies and sardines are still working on catching these bad boys.
CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp.
TROUT
Rainbows have been coming in from people using mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms. 4 year old John Sullivan, Photo #1 from Riverside caught a 3.09 lb trout using nightcrawlers on the shoreline. Adrian Contreras from Riverside caught a 5.49 lb'er on Peewee jigs on the shoreline. Samuel Valdez from Mira Loma caught a 3.09 lb trout using Peewee jigs on the shoreline. Allan Eagelhorn from Riverside caught a 5.07 lb trout using Gottem on the shoreline. Congratulations to Adrian Contreras for being the winner of the 1st week of the trout derby with his winning weight of 5.35 pounds.
PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been missing in action. Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
