Redear and Bluegill are biting the best at Lake Perris, followed by the Bass bite

Redear are on the move behind the Island. There are reports of limits of Redear hitting on trout worms and redworms in about 20' of water. Bluegill are biting in the morning on crickets and mealworms in the Tire Reef area. Bass are active on nightcrawlers and plastics in the early morning and late afternoon around the lot #1 ADA pier and launch ramp cove.

8-1-2012Good fishing this week at lake Perris. Bluegill action is very good both from a boat and around Bernasconi shore hitting on crickets, mealworms and redworms. Redear action is a bit slower but can still be caught using mealworms and redworms. The Bass bite is best in the afternoon along the north shoreline. Bass are hitting best on a drop shot rig using plastic worms. A few Crappie have been caught in the early morning jigging near the Marina....... Read More

Bluegill and Redear were very active this week at Lake Perris. Best locations were off the docks and from a boat behind the island. Mealworms and live crickets have been the best bait.
