Bluegill and Redear were very active this week at Lake Perris. Best locations were off the docks and from a boat behind the island. Mealworms and live crickets have been the best bait.

Bass are being caught off the shoreline or from a boat. The best baits were either purple plastics or nightcrawlers.

Topwater lures are the talk around the lake from bass anglers fishing near the Launch Ramp and the East End of the lake. Bluegill and Redear are still coming in in large numbers around the Island on crickets and red worms. Action has been hot for all species in the mornings at the east end of the lake. Bass are hitting on either top water or plastics that are green or purple. Redear have been biting on trout worms or crickets near the Island. Bluegill are coming in in large numbers on crickets and mealworms along the Bernasconi shore and east of the Island....... Read More
