The Department of Fish & Game will be stocking the lake with Rainbow Trout this week, the week of Nov. 27th.
The largies are hitting plastics all day long in the fish arm and the coves around Kong Island. Senkos and Roboworms are working great; the largies are hanging around a depth of 5 to 25 feet. Utopia and Old SS have been great for the mid morning bite and Elizabeth Cyn has been producing fish all day.
The stripers will come up every now and then on the swimbaits and some shad imitations. The stripers have been hanging out around the west and main ramps as well as Government cove. Very few stripers have been caught off cut bait.
The trout are still biting on PowerBait and spinners. Catfish are doing all right with liver and nightcrawlers. Fishing at the lagoon is doing pretty good still. They are biting nightcrawlers and plastics all day and night. Swimbaits have been working to catch largemouth at the lagoon.

Castaic LakeTrout have been biting at both the West Ramp and the Main Ramp. PowerBait and little spinners have been working the best to catch the rainbows. Trout are also spotted all over the lake around Kong Island and back in Elizabeth Cyn. Stripers have been keying in on the trout at the West Ramp more than anywhere else on the lake. The dam has been producing a few big ones but most seem to be around...... Read More

The Department of Fish and Game has stocked the West Ramp with 4,900 lbs. of rainbow trout on November 10th. Stripers were showing signs of picking up all last week but still very few boils. The stripers are hitting the swimbaits as the west ramp now; the mornings and evenings are better times to fish as usual. Castaic Swimbaits Spro BBZ1's and most other swimbaits will bring in double-digit stripers. The dam has also been very good since the trout...... Read More
