Trout have been biting at both the West Ramp and the Main Ramp. PowerBait and little spinners have been working the best to catch the rainbows. Trout are also spotted all over the lake around Kong Island and back in Elizabeth Cyn.
Stripers have been keying in on the trout at the West Ramp more than anywhere else on the lake. The dam has been producing a few big ones but most seem to be around 5 to 8 pounds. Swimbaits are bringing in the bigger fish of course but sardines are still working here and there and bringing in the little stripers.
The largemouth have also been biting the swimbaits all over the lake. But plastics and shad are still very good to be using at this time. The lagoon has been a little quieter than usual but largies and panfish are still biting and it seems to be better in the morning and evening.

Stripers are still in a little bit of a slump. There is still shad stacked up everywhere all over the lake. The west ramp seems to be where most of the shad are calling home and the stripers are occasionally boiling in the mornings and evenings. Kong Island, Sharron's Rest and Government Cove are still the best places to spot the striper boils. Top water baits like spooks and sammies are working great on boils. ...... Read More
