The Department of Fish and Game has stocked the West Ramp with 4,900 lbs. of rainbow trout on November 10th.

Stripers were showing signs of picking up all last week but still very few boils. The stripers are hitting the swimbaits as the west ramp now; the mornings and evenings are better times to fish as usual. Castaic Swimbaits Spro BBZ1's and most other swimbaits will bring in double-digit stripers. The dam has also been very good since the trout stock; anglers have caught stripers off swimbaits and sardines.

The largies are also going after the swimbaits as well. In the coves the largies are still going after shad and shad imitations. Elizabeth Cyn, Old SS and Dry gulch have been fantastic spot for the largies. The catfish are also biting in the Elizabeth Cyn as well as Necktie Cyn and the Buoy line.

Kong Island, Sharron's Rest and Government Cove are still the best places to spot the striper boils. Top water baits like spooks and sammies are working great on boils. ...... Read More

Shad imitations, Kastmasters and little swim baits are working great for the Stripers and the few Largies in the boils. Shad is king. Anglers netting shad are turning in the best numbers. The Stripers are sometimes boiling in the middle of...... Read More
