The Department of Fish and Game will be stocking the upper lake with rainbow trout the week of May 15th.

Stripers are starting to show their faces around the lake again finally. Most anglers are catching them on nightcrawlers, which is good because the largies are still going after nightcrawlers. The stripers have been popping up at the west ramp and the main ramp from the shoreline. Old SS and Elizabeth canyon and coves where the stripers have also been spotted.

Largies are still shy but are biting all over the lake on nightcrawlers and plastics. Some largies have been caught on swimbaits from the shoreline and in the coves.

Catfish are really starting to bite well, eventhough most of them are around two to four pounds but bigger ones are out there. The panfish bite is still off the hook at the lagoon during the day and at night. Meal worms, wax worms and jigs are still the best baits for the panfish. There are still some trut hanging around from the last trout plant on the 6th of May, they have been biting on little spinners and PowerBait.
