Upper Lake Water Temp: Mid to high 60's
Lower Lagoon Water Temp: Mid 60's
Trout plants: 1,500 lbs. at the main ramp on May 6th

The trout bite has been pretty good all weekend but probably won't last long, so hurry in. The largies are still biting on Nightcrawlers throughout most of the lake and at the lagoon. The early morning bite is the best but the mid-afternoon bite has been doing fairly good as well. Drop shoting plastics and using jigs have been a great way to catch the largies lately. The largies at the lagoon have been pretty active at night on top water baits and plastics.

For the stripers most anglers have been using cut bait and pulling in a few here and there. Striper anglers are picking up stripers near Kong Island, Elizabeth Canyon, Suicide Point, and C-Point. Still no sign of the shad and the stripers haven't taken to a surface bite yet.

The panfish at the lagoon have been biting all hours of the night. Lots of decent sized crappie have been showing their fces biting on Wax worms and crappie jigs.

The Department of Fish & Game stocked the upper lake at the west ramp with 900 lbs. of rainbow trout. Not too much has changed in the past few weeks, but the largie bite all over the lake has been great on nightcrawlers and plastics. Largies can be spotted in almost any cove but like it has been for weeks, the water clarity is still around 25 to 30 feet making it very difficult if you don't have light line....... Read More
