The Department of Fish and Game will be stocking the lake with rainbow trout the week of May 1st.

Striper fishing is still pretty tough but anglers are still determined and are just changing their methods. The stripers that have been caught are being caught off cut bait.

The Largemouth bite hasn't changed much over the past weeks; just have the light line. Be patient, and use Nightcrawlers and plastics. Largies can be targeted on beds all over the lake near points and in the backs of coves. The fishing at the lagoon has slowed down quite a bit, not too many big largies coming out.

The pan fish are biting at the lagoon on small worms and the night fishing is much better. Catfish at both the upper lake and lagoon have been biting all day here and there on Nightcrawlers and cut bait.

The Department of Fish & Game stocked the upper lake at the west ramp with 900 lbs. of rainbow trout. Not too much has changed in the past few weeks, but the largie bite all over the lake has been great on nightcrawlers and plastics. Largies can be spotted in almost any cove but like it has been for weeks, the water clarity is still around 25 to 30 feet making it very difficult if you don't have light line....... Read More

Most anglers are fishing for the largies with nightcrawlers and they will occasionally pull up a two to four pound striper. The cut bait bite for the stripers is still not that great. The largies are doing...... Read More
