BASS
DVL bass are still on shad bad! The lures sure not to spoil a boil are shad cranks, jerks, and rattle traps, flukes either fished on a darter or scrounger, or a topwater popper. LA Sliders, Lunker Punkers, and BBZ's will enchant after the trout plant.

TROUT
Anglers fishing from shore or boat can't help but gloat about the trout. The east dam and marina cove tend to be the best spots to spend your time dropping a trout line. Powerbait, night crawlers, Powerworms, and mini jigs, fished on 2 pound test are the best to bluff a 'bow.

STRIPER
Striper fishing is steady either fishing the flocks or stocks. If striper are on the shad bad follow the birds for busting boils. After we drop the trout get the big baits out. Bill Stone of Hemet caught a 10.2 pound striper fishing with plugs on the east dam. Rene Chavez of Hemet caught a 14 pound striper fishing from shore. Shane Trevor of Cherry Valley caught a 12 pound striper fishing near the marina with a swimbait. Matt Dalton of Cherry Valley caught a 14 pound striper fishing from near the marina with a swimbait. Andy Acevedo of Hemet caught a 15.50 pound striper trolling near the marina with a white fluke on a scrounger. Salvador Garcia of Hemet caught a 8.05 pound striper fishing the south side of the west dam with trout baits. Javier Marquez of Hemet caught a 8 pound striper fishing the south side of the west dam with an secret lure. Guadelupe Figueroa of San Jacinto caught a 14.8 pound striper fishing aliong the east dam with a top water lure. Tad Blackburn of Hemet caught a 12.16 pound striper fishing with a swimbait on the east shoreline.

CATFISH
DVL cats are MIA. The typical spots for cats are near the inlet, the wave attenuator, or restroom 2.

PANFISH
The panfish bite is still hot. The east dam and near the saddle dam are the most reported spots for blue gill and crappie. Live worms or jigs are the most effective baits.
