Pyramid remained at 92 percent of its storage capacity, and water temps fell into the low seventies and high sixties. The bite continued to improve at Pyramid with bass anglers reporting a solid bite. Live shad was the best way to boat some bass, but white buzzbaits and weightless flukes took plenty of bass too. Successful anglers focused on the outside weed lines. Bottom contact anglers found fish holding in the weed holes and pockets. Texas rigs in Tequilla Sunrise and Aaron’s Magic worked well. Bass were also reported out deeper on main and secondary points. Striped bass were fair to good for bait anglers, but trolled umbrella rigs got their attention. A local angler reported limiting out while trolling A-rigs and umbrella rigs in 25 feet of water over points. Catfish were reliable for anglers who found weed free water. Cut baits and chicken liver both worked for bites.
