Pyramid dropped to 89 percent of capacity, and water temperatures fell to 57 degrees. Fishing has been good at Pyramid, but rainy weather kept many anglers off the water. Trout anglers did well in the marina with dough baits leading the way. Spinners, spoons, and minijigs scored bites as well. Striper anglers pulled in five-to-twenty-pound fish using magnum topwater lures, spoons, and cut baits. The striper have been schooled up in deeper water, and when anglers found biting schools the results were excellent. Bass anglers used deep diving crankbaits, vertical spoons, and finesse baits for good results. Five fish days were not uncommon. Bass held in deeper water, and a slower presentation has been helpful for the finesse anglers. Catfish anglers used cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait for good results.
