The lake remained near full pool with water temps consistently holding below sixty degrees. The solid striper bite continued for anglers who put in the time throwing magnum sized topwater and swimbaits. Anglers reported taking hundreds of casts for a single bite, but the rewards were great with several fish between 10 and 20 pounds hitting the scales. Striped bass also fell for deep vertical spoons, trolled umbrella rigs, and cut baits. Trout anglers reported excellent fishing for rainbows up to two-pounds while using dough baits, Hookup Baits, minijigs, and various spinners and spoons. Most of the action took place in the marina, but anglers reported catching trout in Serrano Cove and Yellowbar as well. Bass anglers stuck with deep diving crankbaits, vertical spoons, and finesse baits, in that order, for good results. Some anglers reported catching bass deeper than 50 feet. Catfish ate cut anchovies, chicken liver, and dip bait throughout the lake.
