Some anglers have been able to get on a few boils this past week, mainly first thing in the morning and mostly just largemouth, but the stripers have been popping up in the main channels of the lake. Water level is extremely low and be cautious of new exposed areas up shallow. With that being said, the fish have less places to hide and they have been easier to catch lately. The Striper are also biting on sardines, anchovies, and lug worms.

The Catfish have also been biting angler’s baits while soaking for striper. If you target the catfish, you can manage some good numbers and size.

The largemouth have been most active in the morning and have been boiling consistently. Topwater, jerk baits, and flukes have been top bait choices. Once the heat starts increasing, the bite tends to slow down a little. You can still manage to catch them on a good old drop-shot in most shad colors when the surface action stops.

The Bluegill and crappie bite remains a little on the slow side, with most bluegill being caught off wax and meal worms. The Crappie however, can be caught better down at the lagoon as of late.

The largemouth bite, when not on the surface,...... Read More

A lot of the catches have been on a top water bait or fluke when they are boiling like that. Otherwise, you can use a nightcrawler or sardine and still manage a limit. Most boil fish have been smaller sized stripers while the bait bite has been pulling up some decent quality. You can also troll a fly on lead-core and manage a few. The...... Read More
