Stripers have been more active in the early morning hours over the past few weeks
hitting various top water baits and sub surface lures like jerkbaits and kastmasters
along with lead heads and smaller paddle tail plastics. Cut bait has also been very
effective throughout the day off of steeper walls and points from coves using a longer
leader and a heavy sinker to manage the winds and currents. Bass have been eatinq
various soft plastic setups like senkos and roboworms in the qrasslines along the
shorelines and crankbaits on the outter edges of the grass throughout the lake.
Nightcralwers have been working well for multiple species both from the shoreline and
throughout the lake in coves and grassy areas. Catfish have been cauqht on Chicken
Liver, Sardines and Anchovies bait and wait style as well from the shore and boats.

Stripers Are Becoming More Active
Pyramid Lake, CAStripers have been more active over the past week or so, biting more sub-surface baits and top water lures along with spoons and kastmasters up to 60 feet deep. First few hours have been great for lures along rocky banks and steeper drop offs otherwise, cut baits throughout the day have been working well such as cut mackerel and chicken liver or lugworms and nightcrawlers hooked up with a heavier sinker to fish deeper water.
