BASS
DVL bass fishing continues to trump Socal fishing holes with arguably the best fishing around. Morning topwater action in the marina cove and south shore points is wide open. The west side of the lake is great area to focus your Carolina and Texas rigs. Bass are 20-40 feet around the saddle dam, the inlet tower, west dam, and restroom 3.

TROUT
DVL trout are nowhere to be found! There were no reports of trout being caught this week. Fishing nightcrawlers near the dams has yielded results in the past. Most trout have been caught between 50 and 80 feet.

STRIPER
There were a handful of striper reports this week. Most catches were near Rawson cove and the west dam. Swimbaits and scroungers are some of the best baits. Jim Dixon of Hemet caught a few stripers, with his biggest at 7 pounds fishing with flukes on the points.

CATFISH
The cats have made a comeback! Several anglers reported catches over 5 lbs. Mackerel and anchovies have been the most reported baits, but shrimp and chicken liver has accounted for a few reports. The most reported areas have been the saddle dam, Rawson cove, near the quarry, and along the east dam.

PANFISH
Panfish are still biting. Large catches of Blue gill, red ear sunfish, and crappie are common for the persistent angler. Most anglers are catching them along the dams with mini jigs, mealworms, or nightcrawlers.
