The weeds are finally starting to die back and that allowed anglers to work crankbaits and swimbaits more effectively. One angler reported a five-pound bass on a trout imitation swimbait last week, and a few other decent bass went for crankbaits and swimbaits. Senkos and Texas rigged plastics have produced better numbers for anglers. Bluegill ate redworms, waxworms, and mealworms fished under a bobber, and catfish went for dip bait, nightcrawlers, and cut baits.
