The aqueduct remained one of the south valley’s best bets with striper, bass, and catfish all hitting the scales. Striper anglers did well using both lures and bait. Jumbo live minnows, cut sardines, and bloodworms worked well when soaked on the bottom after check gates, and Flukes, jerkbaits, and topwater lures fooled striper at sunrise and again in the evenings. Catfish went for chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits, and bass anglers fooled fish using Senkos, drop shot, and flukes in slower moving water. Bass have also been chasing glass minnows in the mornings, and anglers fooled them with Whopper Ploppers and walking baits.
