Smaller grade striper have been boiling on shad in the mornings, and anglers who are lucky enough to be in the right place can score quick limits of the jailbirds. Spooks, Flukes, and jerkbaits have all been effective, and for the bait anglers jumbo live minnows, cut sardines, and lugworms worked to fool a fair amount of striped bass. Catfishing has been great with anglers reporting good numbers of better grade catfish. The whisker fish have been eating cut baits, dip bait, and chicken liver. Bass anglers reported decent fishing using soft plastics near the weeds and in slower moving water. Spooks and Whopper Ploppers continue to fool bass when fished along the aqueduct banks.
