Pyramid remained near 93 of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the low 80s. Fishing remained steady at Pyramid with bass, striper, and catfish biting well. Bass anglers have been using buzz baits, weedless frogs, and small walking baits to fool bass in the mornings. Weedless plastics have been working well when fished in weed pockets and along weed lines. Crankbaits and swimbaits fooled plenty of large and smallmouth bass along those same weed lines. Striper anglers reported excellent fishing for small grade striper during the morning boils with topwater, flukes, and jerkbaits. Bait anglers have been soaking cut baits and lugworms in the Marina, Yellowbar, and near the dam for striper limits. Catfish were on a terror last week with anglers scoring cats to 10 pounds on chicken liver, nightcrawlers, and cut sardines.
