Fishing this past week at Lake Skinner had its highs and lows. A couple of days this past week were very slow, with not much coming in at all, however, the other days produced a fair about of striper action. Stripers are still hitting anchovies the best at the dam and inlet, but fishermen have been having luck jigging kastmasters. A few small boils have also been reported in the morning hours back in the East End and South Shore. Not too many reports on Bass or Catfish, but fishermen are getting some. Bass still mainly along the South Shore while the cats have been coming in mostly at the inlet off of mackerel. Bluegills in the afternoon areound the Ramp #2 Area have also been reported.
These are the following fish reports:
Bass: Fair with an Average size of 2lbs.
Bluegill: Fair
Carp: Good
Catfish: Fair with an Average size of 3 lbs.
Crappie: Poor
Striper: Good with an Average size of 3 lbs.
Trout: Poor

Some bass still being reported, however, there have been fewer fishermen going for them, so fewer reports. Last heard they are still biting dark...... Read More
