The bite catfish continue to provide outstanding late summer action. The lunkers are being reported by both shore and boating anglers. The striper are boiling early mornings and evenings with the best bite right as the lake closes.

Rate of the action based over the past week:
Bass: Good Avg. Size: 3 lbs.
Bluegill: Good Avg. Size: 1 lb.
Carp: Good Avg. Size: 4 lbs.
Catfish: Excellent Avg. Size: 4 lbs.
Crappie: Fair Avg. Size: 1 lb.
Striper: Good Avg. Size: 3 lbs.
Trout: Poor

Cats are still the main action, however large cats have now begun to be caught off shore as well as by boat. From shore cats are hitting mackeral and boat most have come off the chicken liver. Big cats still coming in near inlets and dam of chicken liver. With a catfish stock of 500 lbs. on Thursday, Ramp #2 still the best shore fishing with most cats being caught off of mackeral. Reports of scattered striper boils in early morning and evening. But striper bite remains rather slow in this hot weather.
