Big cats still coming in near inlets and dam of chicken liver. With a catfish stock of 500 lbs. on Thursday, Ramp #2 still the best shore fishing with most cats being caught off of mackeral.

Reports of scattered striper boils in early morning and evening. But striper bite remains rather slow in this hot weather. Big gill being reported in the east end and south shore off of nightcrawlers mostly.

Rate of action based over the past week:
Bass: Fair Avg. Size: 3.50 lbs.
Bluegill: Good Avg. Size: 1 lb.
Carp: Fair
Catfish: Excellent Avg. Size: 4 lbs.
Crappie: Poor
Striper: Fair Avg. Size: 2 lbs.
Trout: Poor

Big cats are the main event this week at Lake Skinner. The big boys are coming out of deep water near the inlet and the dam. Stocker cats still hitting near ramp # 2. Major news this week, the lake was blue stoned on Wed. the 30th. with the weeds due to die off by about a week, look forward to the striper bite picking up as the small fry loose their weed cover.
