Fishing at Castaic is very good right now. Bigger stripers have been boiling at bouy line and around the lake. Stripers have also been biting bloodworms and sardines. Most stripers are 6 to 8 lbs with a few double digits mixed in. The largemouth and smallmouth bass are chasing shad. Topwater and reaction baits are working good in the mornings, then plastics in the afternoon. Bluegill are still biting waxworms, mealworms and small plastics in shallow brush. Catfish has been slow.
