Fishing at Castaic is good right now. Good size stripers are boiling in the mornings and evenings. Stripers are also biting on sardines and bloodworms in 30 to 75 ft deep. Bass fishing is good right now. Bass are chasing shad in the mornings in the back of coves and pockets. Plastics are also working for bass in 5 to 25ft. The bluegill are biting good on waxworms, mealworms and small plastics in shallow brush. The catfish bite is slow but guys are catching some good size ones here and there on mackerel and anchovies.
