Fishing at Castaic is good right now. Stripers and bass are chasing shad. Most of the boiler have been in the morning. The bait bite for the stripers has been picking up. Bloodworms and lugworms are working best in 40 to 75ft. The bluegil bite is very good. Waxworms and mealworms are working best in shallow brush. Catfish are starting to pick up. Nightcrawlers and makarel are working best in 30 to 75 ft.

Fishing at Castaic has slowed a bit this week.The water has a little algae bloom that has affected the boils a little. Stripers and bass are still boiling here and there in the mornings. Stripers are starting to bite bloodworms in 40 to 75 ft. Plastic worms and shad pattern lures have been working for largemouth and smallmouth bass. The bluegil bite has been very good.
