Trout, trout, and more trout coming in! A few more 71b+ rainbows were caught by the dam with the heaviest weighing 10Ibs even. Black and gold Rapalas have almost a 100% success rate though rainbow trout, firetiger, and silver are all working very well. Gold and chrome Kastmasters and Phoebes also brought in a decent amount of fish this week. E point and Harvey Bay have been hot spots for both smallmouth and largemouth. Cranks, spinners, and nightcrawlers are the way to go for bass right now as the plastic bite has been a little tough. A few nice 3Ib cats were brought in from Cachuma Bay and off of The Flats with cut mackerel. Additionally, the crappie bit well by the Mohawk area for anglers using jigs and mealworms.
